Designers & Production – Wicked Lit 2016

Emily Abbott :: Stage Manager ~ Anansi and the Demons
Emily is thrilled to return to Wicked Lit after stage managing The Grove of Rashomon for WL15.  A supporter of the Los Angeles theater community, other stage management credits include Frederick Douglass Now, O Rejane, Viral and Failure A Love Story.  Emily is the Development Associate for The Pasadena Playhouse as well as a brand new LA Stage Alliance Ovation Voter. Thank you to the producers, Rachel, Jamie and the cast and crew for making this a wonderful experience.

Yiouli Archontaki :: Puppeteer ~ From Beyond
Yiouli is an actor-creator, dancer, choreographer, musician, performer and architect. She began her journey from Greece where she studied music and dance and then moved to London where she studied architecture. She spent a number of years working as an architect, dance teacher, choreographer and performer. In June 2016 she completed her M.F.A. in Ensemble – Based Physical Theatre at the Dell’Arte International. She has performed as an actor at ten Dell’Arte productions, she has devised and performed original plays in Greece and USA and as a puppeteer she performed at Margie’s World, an original play created in Bali/Indonesia.

Kurtis Bedford :: Production Builder
Kurtis is an actor, designer, General Contractor and Master Carpenter. Favorite projects include the design and construction of an entire military museum in Northern California, work on the feature film Archie’s Final Project, and the set design for WCJT’s production of The Whipping Man. Kurtis started designing at a young age for the Factory of Nightmares, which was a haunted house built on the campus of Cal State Northridge. This is his third   time working with Unbound Productions (WL115) as the Production Builder.

Martha G. Carter :: Lighting Designer ~ Shadowy Third
Martha is a lighting designer based out of Los Angeles. She enjoys collaborating and working with ensemble companies to create new work that insights positive change within communities. Her recent credits include: Romeo and Juliet at Great River Shakespeare Festival, The Why at The Blank Theater, Pygmalion at Long Beach Playhouse, and Marry Me a Little at Theater Out; as well as After the Revolution, The Legend(s) of Sleepy Hollow, The Big Meal and A Chorus Line at Chance Theater. MFA in Lighting Design from UCI.

Christine Cover Ferro ::  Resident Costume Designer
Christine has designed all History Lit, Wicked Lit, and Unbound Installation shows to date. Other recent work includes Pacific Resident Theatre’s The Homecoming, My Girlfriend Is an Alien, and Eccentricities of a Nightingale; and Rogue Machine’s Dutch Masters. Her TV and film credits include costume design for the feature films Yard Sale and Edith & Harvey, and assistant costume design for the 2014 and 2015 Oscars and Fox’s Sleepy Hollow. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Macalester College and a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Design from Brandeis University.

Drew Dalzell :: Systems Design/Sound Designer ~ Camp Mountain View
For Unbound, Drew has designed The Tell-Tale Heart, History Lit 2012 and 2016, and Wicked Lit 2012-2015 (including an Ovation Award for Best Sound Design in 2014). Outside of Unbound, Drew has designed over 250 theatrical productions including the world premiere of Toy Story: The Musical and numerous productions at regional theaters such as South Coast Repertory, The Laguna Playhouse, the Colony Theatre Company, and the Rubicon Theatre Company. He has received a USITT ClearCom Sound Achievement Award and been nominated for Ovation, LA Weekly, Garland, LADCC, and NAACP Awards, winning multiple times. Drew received his MFA in Theatrical Sound Design from the College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati and has lectured at Yale University, University of California Irvine, University of Missouri Kansas City, North Carolina School for the Arts, Purdue University, and the University of Cincinnati. Drew is also a member of the Board of Directors for Unbound Productions.

Paolo Greco :: Sound Master
Paolo holds a BA in Music from The Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, and an MA in Music & Media Technology from Trinity College Dublin. While in Dublin, he worked for October Eleven Pictures in their preternatural documentary The Twilight Hour: Visions of Haunted Ireland, narrated by British actor John Hurt for Discovery Channel. His music progressively acquires a notably narrative and atmospheric demeanor. He is hired by Die Badische Landesbühne Theater in Germany to write music for their stage productions. Since 2007, he has scored ten shows ranging from the American icon A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams to the German classics Michael Kohlhaas by Heinrich Von Kleist and Mary Stuart by Friederich Schiller. Other more experimental productions were invited and/or awarded at international theater festivals in Berlin, Stuttgart, Trento and Tallinn.

Noelle Hoffman :: Sound Designer ~ Anansi and the Demons, From Beyond and The Shadowy Third
Noelle was the Sound Designer for the Wicked Lit installations of The Doll at Mayfield Senior School and The Tell-Tale Heart at LA Mart/ScareLA as well as WL13-15 (Ovation Award – Best Sound Design, WL14). She also is an Ensemble Member of Rogue Artists Ensemble. Noelle recently took a job with Diablo Sound, a great sound company that works on a plethora of projects from theatre to theme parks. BA in Drama and German from UW-Oshkosh and her MFA in Sound Design from UCI.

Hilda Kane :: Lighting Designer ~ Camp Mountain View
Hilda is happy to return for this year’s production of Wicked Lit. Los Angeles credits include WL13-14, gala events for Los Angeles Ballet, The ALS Association, and Pasadena Playhouse, Guest Designer at Pepperdine University, and Resident Lighting Designer at Marlborough School.  She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Emerson College.

Judi Lewin :: Co-Makeup Designer/Hair & Wig Designer
Originally from Toronto, Judi designed for theatre including a few years with the Canadian Opera Co. Since moving to L.A. with her family in 1990, she has incorporated film and television into her repertoire and now works in all aspects of the industry. Some of the noted theatres Judi has designed for are: Pasadena Playhouse, The Rubicon, The Fremont, Interact, The Fountain, Theatre 40, McCoy Rigby, Sacramento Music Circus, The Blank and several National Tours. Judi is excited to be back working on her second Wicked Lit production.

Robin Lynn :: Wardrobe Mistress
Robin Lynn is a costume designer, fabricator, fashion editor, and history addict. Robin has restored, designed, and/or created items from a variety of materials for clients around the globe, including major magazines, celebrities, and theme parks. She’s an old-fashioned girl who likes unpopular past times, arcane verbiage, and mischief. This is her first time with Wicked Lit, so she may need a hand to hold during the scary bits.

Rachel Manheimer :: Production Manager
Rachel was Wicked Lit‘s first PM in 2009 at Greystone Mansion, saw them through the early Mausoleum years (WL10-11), and is very happy to be amongst the dead once again. Having managed everything from original musicals to 20-show festivals, some of Rachel’s favorite credits include Tim Crouch’s An Oak Tree, David Michalek’s Hagoromo, and Professional Performing Arts’ High School’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Thank you for coming to the cemetery tonight!

TaShaunna Peterman :: PSM/Stage Manager ~ Camp Mountain View
TaShaunna is very excited to be the Production Stage Manager for Wicked Lit 2016! Past shows with Unbound include The Lurking Fear (WL13), The Doll (Mayfield Senior School), Las Llaronas (WL14), The Monkey’s Paw (Mountain View Mausoleum), The Ebony Frame (WL15), and The Girl Who Owned a Bear (HL16, also PSM).

Carme Daniel Pitrello IV :: Master Electrician
Carme has been working on stages around the world for most of his career. He started working in magic and illusion in 2010 and has made a name for himself as the “Swiss Carme Knife” taking on any problem with a smile and a solution. After many years on the road he found his true love while working a show in the states. Since then he has been keeping close to home and enjoying working with Lorraine by his side. Carme is really excited to be a part of the Wicked Lit team this year and make magic happen.

Julie Pound :: Resident Makeup Artist
Julie is a freelance makeup artist with over 14 yrs experience in theatre, film and television. Julie has been with Wicked Lit since its inaugural production in 2009. Favorite Unbound productions include The Tell-Tale Heart, The Chimes, The Dead Smile, Wake Not the Dead, A Ghost Story, The Unnamable and The Lurking Fear. Other theatre credits include The Dark Heart of Poe, Tea at Five, Driving Miss Daisy, Incorruptible, and Victor. She currently has one filmmaking the festival circuit, one in post-production, and works regularly with NASA on their educational webisodes.

Amanda Sauter :: Assistant Stage Manager ~ From Beyond
Amanda is thrilled to be back with Unbound after serving as an ASM for WL14-15 and as an assistant set designer on The Monkey’s Paw. Working at Theatre 40 as an assistant set designer, she has created on such shows as Patterns, Accomplice, American Wee-Pie, Helman vs McCarthy and Flare Path. Her passion for art and design has led her to create amazing things. She would like to give special thanks to Jeff Rack for giving her the opportunity to express her artistic mind. She feels truly blessed to be a part of the Unbound family.

Lorraine Zazzaretti :: Stage Manager ~ From Beyond
Lorraine has been in LA for the last two years, where she has been stage managing as much as possible. After working onstage with Ed Alonzo’s Psycho Circus of Magic and Mayhem, she managed over 15 shows in the Hollywood Fringe Festival. She’s also worked in theatres around the world, from Denver where she was born, to Malaysia and Germany where she got the pleasure of working with the love of her life, Carme Pitrello. Wicked Lit has been a great adventure, thank you all.
