Audition Notice: The Grove of Rashomon (Wicked Lit 2015)

Unbound Productions is proud to announce auditions for
The Grove of Rashomon – one of three plays that will be included in Wicked Lit 2015!

Auditions will be held at Moving Arts:
1822 Hyperion Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90027

Auditions: Wednesday, July 15: 7-10pm
Callbacks: Thursday, Aug 6: 7-10pm

Wicked Lit 2015 will be produced by Unbound Productions in association with Mountain View Mausoleum & Cemetery. All rehearsals and performances will take place in the space ~ location: 2300 N. Marengo Ave. Altadena, CA 91001.

THE DOLL
Adapted by Jeff G. Rack, Directed by Paul Millet
Adapted from the story of the same name by Algernon Blackwood

Set in Victorian England, The Doll tells the story of Jane and Miss O’Brien, two dutiful caretakers within the home of the beleaguered Colonel Masters. When young Monica is given a package that arrives mysteriously at their doorstep, a force enters the house that turns their quiet little world upside down.

Plus a Wicked Lit staged reading to be announced!
At the Strub Mansion at the historic Mayfield Senior School
500 Bellefontaine St, Pasadena, CA 91105

Limited Run: July 11-26, 2014
The Doll runs 35 minutes, the staged reading will run 30-35 minutes

This event will be staged inside and around Strub Hall – an Italianate Beaux Arts home at the heart of the eight-acre Mayfield campus. The home was built between 1914-1919 for an oil magnate, and purchased for the Society of the Holy Child Jesus by Dr. Charles and Vera Strub in 1950.

A lyrical reimaging of the beloved tale of the good-hearted schoolmaster Ichabod Crane and his deadly encounter with the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow.

Singers, dancers, improvisational actors, and a buffoon will surround you in the gothic world of Wicked Lit!  Designed as a macabre masquerade, The Masque of the Red Death  Experience draws text and tone from the mind of Edgar Allan Poe and presents a theatrical framework for your immersive journey through the mausoleum and cemetery.
